Libby from Mobilates

Libby

Finding Mobilates during lockdown has enabled me to be stronger both physically and mentally. So much so that I now plan my week around Mobilates and if I have to miss a session then I definitely know about it!
To say Leanne truly cares about each and everyone one of us is an understatement, it’s more likely a family than a class. One of the key things for me, apart from just how lovely Leanne and the team are, is that adaptions are the normality, not the exception. Leanne truly understands how the body works and how to enable us all to get the best out of Mobilates.
I also love the explanations throughout the class, which help me to understand how and why a movement is part of the class. Finally, it wouldn’t be right not to mention the laughter, the support and the positivity that comes out of each session. Finding Mobilates has definitely changed my life for the better.

"I have been using Mobilates since a period of critical Illness left me with poor muscle tone, balance issues and nerve pain ( as well as the significant psychological issues that go along with a spell in ITU) Mobilates has improved my physical strength and most importantly my mental health is infinity improved by daily movement that is achievable for me and I have been able to build upon my performance and move onto more demanding classes. I can't sing Leanne's praises enough!"

"I’ve watched Leanne grow and develop Mobilates from its inception. Coincidentally, my daughter has Ehlers Danlos Syndrome too, so it was of particular interest. I run an MS Charity, so the issue of disability and empowering people with disabilities to thrive is one that’s very close to my heart. I’m also aware of Leanne’s personal backstory, and the unimaginable loss and heartache she’s gone through. For her to get up each morning and do what she does is nothing short of inspirational. I can’t think of anyone more deserving."

"Leanne is an inspiration to many. What she's achieved is amazing. Fully deserved winner"

"Amazing organisation that makes Pilates accessible for those with long term conditions. I am a member of Mobilates and even did my own research on looking at motivation for those with long term conditions, using Mobilates members including myself! Without Mobilates I would not be as mobile as I am today! It feels like a family not an exercise class!"

"I'm a member of mobilates and it's kept me sane! Physio was so boring every day by myself but the lovely community and wonderful instructors keep exercise fun."

"I've joined one of the classes Leanne takes due to back pain and the need to keep mobile. Needless to say my mobility has improved but that's not the main reason for the vote. The class I attend consists of a lovely group of people all who have their own medical issues and limitations. Leanne is amazing at recognising people's limitations, talking to them about them and adjusting exercises so they are able to participate and benefit. It's now something I really look forward to weekly as Leanne is just a bubbly joy who cares for her classes. She makes exercise fun and enjoyable."

"Mobilates run by Leanne provides a fantastic opportunity for people with mobility issues to participate in a class where there is no competition, no judgment and we all feel comfortable being there."

"After all GP, hospital, private classes recommended, Mobilates were the only ones I’ve found that stick and help! They tailor every class to me that day, no matter the group size or issue, they’re there for me. We have a community which ha really reduced my feeling of loneliness and embarrassment with my health/abilities. With them I’m feeling like me again, and without them I was moving less and less and injuring myself more. Brilliant, lovely people everywhere. 100% recommend; you’ll be in safe hands. They’re always training and deepening their learning, really honest safe professional company."

"Really fantastic to have Leanne with her mobilates. Has made such a difference to me and my friends to be able to join the classes that are run so professionally and compassionately. We always feel so much better after a class with a sense of achievement."

"The classes have transformed my health and well being, I have MS and in person exercise classes aren’t accessible to me, so being able to join others online to do movement that’s appropriate and adaptable for my body has been so helpful to my overall condition. Disabled people can often feel socially isolated and mobilates really helps with that too, online friendships and a sense of belonging is a great tonic for your mental health as well, and the availability of social classes as well as exercise classes is a very big bonus!"

"Leanne and her team are excellent teachers and I think that setting up classes for people with all sorts of disabilities/health conditions was an excellent idea. She is proof that Pilates can work for almost everyone to some degree or other."

"I'm voting for Mobilates for the Entrepreneur of Excellence Award because it's been a game-changer for me and others dealing with chronic health conditions and mobility issues. "Leanne & Mobilates has not only helped me physically but emotionally too. Mobilates has SAVED my life. When you live with a rare medical condition that is not widely known by doctors it can be so overwhelming and the lack of help on the NHS is so devastating that you feel you have nowhere to go for help. Leanne and her AMAZING MOBILATES havs just scooped me up & taken care of me. Specific exercises to help with EDS and many other conditions, which help and they work!! Leanne has created a safe space for everyone to feel confident in the movement which is so incredible it has me out of my wheelchair for the first time in over a decade! Mobilates works!!!! I believe it should be offered by your doctors and even taught in schools as its simply wonderful and all inclusive and best of all, it works! I haven't had a single fall in so long & its so wonderful to be able to manage my own disability with care and respect."

"This class has really helped my mum she always enjoys the class especially as she cannot move very well this always helps her with everything and the ladies that run the classes are lovely and would recommend to anyone"

"We Started Pilates again having stopped at the first lockdown for various and ongoing health reasons …….Mobilates offer accessible Pilates classes for everyone with long-term health conditions, mobility issues, persistent pain …currently at the new Paddock Wood Community Centre which is brilliant. Leanne, our instructor is excellent… kind, addresses all abilities and immediately tailors to all needs, with a great touch of humour… we all love her …. "

"This amazing company has helped me regain some mobility due to my current chronic pain disease"

"Leanne has set up this wonderful supportive organisation and built up a lovely friendly, broadly inclusive community. It's a huge achievement and a credit to Leanne. :)"

"The Mobilates crew create and deliver from direct lived experience and empathy. Providing a warm welcome and ongoing adaption for those of us with extra needs to access movement classes. Simply wonderful ❤️"

"I have MS ( multiple sclerosis ) and in the past have struggled with mainstream classes or to find anything that caters for my needs and energy levels. However I know that regular exercise is vital for keeping my muscles and co ordination functioning. Discovering Mobilates and Leanne during lockdown has been a game changer. Four years on I am doing regular classes with ongoing support from Leanne when I’ve had additional health problems. I can find an exercise classes at times to suit without leaving home . There is the additional benefit of class recordings to use afterwards. Just as important as the Pilates/exercise classes are the many online friends made whilst attending classes and the fun and laughter and support we give each other."

"As chronically non-visibly disabled woman I was very fortunate to discover lovely Leanne & Mobilates some years ago and being part of her tribe has made a huge difference to me and my wellbeing. The classes are accessible, online, accepting, inclusive and most of all fun and engaging. Being Neuro-Distinct I can easily become demotivated and bored, yet Leanne’s teaching is always fun, entertaining and supportive. And through the lessons and other community things she offers has improved my mental health and helped me feel less isolated and alone.. She definitely deserves the award."

"I saw a free trial being advertised online to try accessible pilates at a local community centre in Kent and didn’t think it would be up to much. But I went along and throughly enjoyed the class. It was so refreshing to have a teacher - Leanne - that “got it” and made the exercises so inclusive to everyone’s needs. I’ve been going to the in person classes for a year now and it has helped so much to have a non-clinical settings to improve my core strength and stamina. I only wish I’d found these classes sooner."

"I have been a member of Mobilates for a year and have found a supportive, friendly and truly wonderful community where everyone understands the trials and tribulations of trying to maintain strength and condition through exercise whilst living with very impactful physical and mental health conditions. Nothing is too much trouble for the teachers to adapt all moves for individuals' needs which allows confidence and encouragement to grow. The classes on line have made me feel less isolated and lonely in my illness and have given me a means of gaining function which traditional NHS approaches have not. Mobilates has helped me manage unbearable pain unresponsive to medication aqnd every time I take part I am accepted exactly as I am. The other chances to take part in a diverse range of activities broaden the ability to take part in something when leaving the house may be difficult. Our teachers, led by Leanne, are inspiring and warm, friendly and gentle people, and this is the atmosphere and ethos of the classes. I have gained so much from being a member and am so grateful that I found them. They deserve all the success and recognition for their work as possible."

"Mobilates has had such a positive impact on my life. As someone with Progressive MS I never thought I could take part in regular movement/exercise classes as my mobility issues mean I use a stick and a walking frame. Now, I join in with several exercise sessions a week from my home using zoom and my mobility and mental health have improved significantly. Leanne and the other teachers are so welcoming and encouraging, and every session is not ony well thought out and inclusive. but also fun! Now that Mobilates has become a highlight in my week I can't imagine life without it."

"Absolutely life changing, since I've attended this classes. Over the years, I have used many painkillers to relieve my pain caused by degenerative bone disease. The attention I receive and the diversity of the exercises we do, have made me addicted to this weekly stretching. it maintains my mobility and helps me both mentally and physically. I’m not exaggerating when I say that I can't live without Pilates classes."

'A life saving online service supporting people with health and mobility difficulties and disabilities to access expertly adapted exercise at home in a friendly accessible online service, as well as face to face for those who can. Mobilates kept me going through covid and beyond, offering healthy activity and human connection. A vital vital service!"

"Mobilates is one of the most diverse and welcoming on line communities I have ever encountered. I’ve tried many gyms to help me with my many health issues but always end up injuring myself as often these gyms don’t have the knowledge and understanding of chronic illness and teach a generic workout. Mobilates has not only helped me stay fit thru several operations but also inspired me to become a pilates teacher like Leanne and Kerry and work with people like myself who want to stay fit but needed something more tailored to those who can’t do intense workouts but needed something gentle due to the many comorbidities’ we encounter daily. Mobilates is a safe space where all are welcome and feel welcome and we are never judged for our struggles and differences. We get to embrace who we are in a more accessible community. Thanks for creating Mobilates."

"Mobilates has enabled me to return to seated pilates after periods of dizziness prevented me from doing traditional lying down pilates. The tutors are really kind and helpful and can answer worries with knowledge and ability. This really helps with individual problems."

"I've been fortunate to be introduced to Mobilates via a workplace scheme offering seated Pilates. Following an ankle injury last year, which has impacted my knee and lower back, I was struggling to exercise and therefore to regain mobility. The seated Pilates class helped me to get back some movement, and provided a time for me to focus on my own physical needs. I've booked a 1:1 with Mobilates and hope to find a suitable class to help me continue my recovery. Such a friendly instructor! And 'alternative moves' are built into the class so you don't feel you're disrupting over attendees by needing them."

"Mobilates has been a wonderful resource for myself and others with often life changing health conditions such as ehlers danlos syndrome, the team are knowledgeable, enthusiastic, engaging and passionate about what they do, they definitely deserve some recognition for their contributions to the wellbeing of many people in such a caring genuine way."

"I have Ehlers Danlos syndrome and am unable to do normal Pilates. Leanne understands my problems and always makes sure I am doing the moves safely. The classes are small and therefore the instructor can keep a close eye on everyone. Mobilates has made my joints more stable. Leanne makes sure that different people with varying levels of fitness, strength and mobility can all do the class. I am physically disabled and use mobility aids to walk but am able to do this class even if I have to hang onto the supplied chair. I am also unable to lay flat on my front due to spinal fusion and to allow me to be able to do this Leanne researched aids and bought a special shaped foam triangle cushion so I can lay on my front to do the exercises. Every time she has planned a class that has exercises that require front lying the pillow is out and placed by my chair even before I arrive. Lessons are planned carefully to use lots of different muscle groups and each lesson has a theme. I feel very welcome at mobilates and for someone with social anxiety that is very nice."

"Mobilates is wonderfully inclusive, offering people with a range of disabilities and challenges the opportunity to exercise and bring movement into their lives in a safe and supported way. People can access from their own home and can feel part of a supportive community. Amazing and unique!"

"Mobilates has brought an entirely new dimension to my life. After a total knee replacement I was fearful of any form of exercise. I hear about Mobilates and went along with some scepticism. Leanne, our tutor was absolutely amazing. Sensing my anxiety she immediately put me at ease, adapted every movement to encompass my abilities (and inabilities) and those of others within the group. I came home feeling energised, confident to go back to a near normal daily routine and now, feel the best I have ever felt. Thank you Mobilates; you have not only enhanced my daily life but introduced me to a great bunch of people"

"Mobilates is great. I feel much more comfortable in this class than I would in a standard pilates class. Leanne is always happy to offer alternative exercises to anyone who would struggle to do the main move. I think it's great!"

"I have been going to mobilates for nearly three years now & have never been to such inclusive, friendly classes before. Leanne & Kerry ensure everyone feels super welcome, no matter what difficulties they come with, & are keen to adapt all the Pilates-based movements they teach to ensure everyone benefits & nobody is left out or made to complete."

"I've worked with Leanne and she is such a positive person and has had an enormous impact on people from all walks of live. She has overcome her own difficulties in terms of her health and her own very personal loss. I can think of no one more deserving of this award."

"Having been a member, I can confidently say that Mobilates has been the most accessible excercise class I could have done. Being able to join the classes online makes such a difference when there are mobility challenges. I sadly only came away because of other reasons but when I am ready to return to excercise again, I will be back to Mobilates. Everyone is so friendly and supportive and the excercises really do make such a powerful difference to many!"

"Mobilates has/is transforming my life. Not only the exercising /classes but the amazing leadership , who have created a large supportive and friendly network of likeminded individuals. It's truly phenomenal how Leanne has achieved this in such short time. I wholeheartedly offer my vote to this hugely successful and innovative business."

"Mobilates is an incredible inclusive experience and has helped me enormously with my health issues by providing a calm, nurturing, safe and supportive environment in which to exercise."

"I am very new to Mobilates, first at seated & supported, now with lite pilates. I come with medical conditions that cause chronic pain and fatigue, and am so happy to have found a group that is tailored for myself and others like me. It is so important to keep moving to improve health, both physical and mental. Mobilates is very well organised and keeps in touch with classes and other social events. The whole ethos seems to be based on kindness. Highly recommend."

"There is no doubt that Mobilates is a superb organisation run by highly dedicated, professional and a deeply understanding team of kind and friendly tutors. Understanding your body and its works is the key to improvement and being overseen and guided by such a quality team is the way to go.I have found the exercises for the classes I attend extremely beneficial."

"I feel so lucky to have found Mobilates and it’s lovely to be able to gently exercise alongside such a friendly bunch of people. Our instructor Kerry is wonderful and adapts all the different types of moves and stretches to suit each individual. Monday mornings are very special!"

"Excellent online and in person classes to suit anyone with mobility issues. Classes are specially tailored for less abled individuals and always feel safe. Continuously evolving as the tutors gain more knowledge around specialist support. For example, recent developments in bone strenghening classes for those suffering from or trying to prevent osteoporosis. Groups are supported online and in person through meetings, emails and get-togethers so it feels like a proper community. Great work by the teachers and mentors."

"I find the group amazing as they are so inclusive. I have ehlers danlos syndrome and fibromyalgia and the classes are adapted for those of us that need it every time. We are always given so many options depending on what our bodies can cope with on the day. I started doing a class a week 4 years ago and now do 2 classes a week and it helps my body so much. Leanne and Kerry are fantastic"

"I am 74 with multiple mobility problems and I am still able to keep walking and socialising independently. I believe that without mobilates I would be a wheelchair user by now. The social activities are also essential for my mental wellbeing. The instructors are all so caring and considerate with an Understanding of struggles that can only be achieved by having experienced problems themselves. This award is so well deserved.

I don't know where I'd be without Leanne (and Kerry,) of Mobilates. Mobilates is literally changing my life for the better. Helping me to not only (safely!) build strength in my body but to also gain much needed confidence in my body and to build a relationship with it, after many yrs immobile due to developing severe M.E/CFS. There's nothing quite like Mobilates out there as gar as I know. Mobilates is unique in that because they come from an actual shared, lived experience of chronic health conditions you know when they say they understand your needs, they *genuinely* understand your needs. The accessibility of all classes being online means that even on really rough days, one can still join in even if this means joining in from your bed, with a cuppa, in your pjs. In fact, this is encouraged because again, the Mobilates team *truly* understand just how isolating a chronic health condition can be. I cannot wax lyrical about them enough. And in fact I do to many people I come across who, like myself before finding Mobilates, face the challenges of wanting to move their bodies and know how important it is to keep moving, yet cannot find or access the right health fitness. Mobilates and the Mobilates team are literally a life line for many and this is I believe genuinely no understatement. Lastly the fact that Mobilates allows it's members to access a recording of the class or classes they have participated in, for 7 days post class, again is testimony to their understanding that many chronic conditions fluctuate in severity, meaning that many times we might have to miss a class (not to mention that every day life can get in the way too,) but this way we don't ever have to! Mobilates is incredible. They welcome diversity and adapt constantly to the needs of their members and they do all of this with love and grace and kindness...Even through their own hewlrh struggles. Leanne deserves a medal as well as award. 🤞 she gets one.

I think Leanne does a wonderful job"

"I. Work alongside Mobilates under Its All About You Wellbeing and think that Leanne offers something very different in the way that she reaches out to marginalised groups with often invisible/silent disability and complex health issues. Really inspiring!"

"Leanne is a leader in this field. Making movement, no matter how tiny, inclusive and accessible. Her openness, joy and vulnerability are always welcoming and welcomed. Mobilates is a game changer in a life with chronic illness, pain and isolation, at an affordable rate ,which is so important, when one’s ability to earn (among many other things) is diminished. "

"I do several Mobilates classes each week via Zoom and there is real benefit from the personalised classes which address the physical issues I have. The caring, knowledgeable and friendly manner of the instructors make the classes really special. The classes are recorded and recordings are available via email for clients who miss their class or who wish to do them again. I have been with Mobilates for several years now as the classes are good value for money. Love it! - and certainly worthy of an award."

"What a wonderful group. Leanne is amazing! Knowledgeable, kind and passionate to help others. As someone that lives with multiple conditions and lives alone, I felt a real sense of community joining mobilates from the other end of the country and such a warm welcome. Just wonderful 😊"

"Mobilates is the first accessible Pilates class I have found and I wouldn’t be without it. Leanne is so clever to adapt moves as she goes to meet individual our needs."

"Leanne and her team are truly inspirational and so supportive of all their members and others that cross their path. Not only has Leanne brought her dream to reality, she and her team go above and beyond in supporting each other to be stronger, empathetic and truly interested in helping all members on an individual basis. Ensuring classes are safe, adaptable and continually encouraging for everyone. Truly diverse and they care, helping each other and their members through tough times, engaging in building bigger and better opportunities to encourage, share and open up new adventures to challenge in a safe environment. Breaking down barriers and generally bring joy and hope to all."

"Mobilates exercises helps my EDS become more tolerable. It is so reassuring to know that these exercises are safe for me as I know that Leanne and her team are fully knowledgable about the hypermobility aspect of EDS and will not encourage me to stretch more than is good for my very loose joints."

"I believe Leanne should win this award for creating a wonderful, nurturing community which is accessible to those of us with chronic illnesses and disabilities. Mobilates provides more than online exercise classes - it’s a vital lifeline for members who are often isolated by their conditions. HEDS is incurable and as such, many patients are left to self-manage with little guidance, support or hope. Leanne’s caring nature shines through in all that she does for her members, despite also dealing with the same issues as us. Along with her teachers, she gives endless encouragement, enthusiasm, guided care and above all hope to the community she has created. Her approach, the support and all the options available are truly life-changing, so I hope our votes can get her the award she so rightly deserves! "

"I used to be incredibly active until I became unwell with ME/CFS. I searched in vain for something I could still do, but most content was made by healthy people simply slowing down 'normal' exercises which just does not work. (Especially when they'd forget and return to 'normal' pacing mid-flow). Mobilates really and truly 'get it'. They are knowledgeable but also put their lived experience to good use, being supportive and encouraging without the 'push yourself!' mindset that is so damaging to people with physical/health limitations that will be made worse by pushing through. I love Mobilates, it has given me my spark and some independence back, when I can do them, I finish workouts feeling a sense of achievement rather than shame or frustration. I am on a low income, so do their free sessions on Virtual Village Hall only for now, it's awesome that they offer this too."

"Mobilates is amazing - allowing me to exercise within my capabilities at home whilst feeling connected and part of a community. Leanne is an inspiration in building community and accessibility and diversity."

"Mobilates has helped me tremendously after fracturing my right humerus, resulting in a reverse should replacement operation. The gentle exercise programme has helped my whole body cope with the surgery trauma. I would recommend Pilates to anyone, especially those with mobility issues as many exercises can be adapted to suit all problems. The classes are taken by very caring individuals who are very competent. There is often a lot of laughter as we have got to know each other well which makes for a pleasant atmosphere."

"Having been a dancer, runner and horse rider I have found the advance of my MS frustrating and humiliating. Mobilates has made exercise and fitness accessible again for me and dare I say, even fun. I never thought I would be part of a class again."

"Mobilates have given me so much - not just the ability to move and walk without overwhelming pain, but also the gift of a wonderful community who support each other in our goal for joyful movement. I look forward to seeing everyone at the classes each week and to see how well we are progressing. Leanne is a real inspiration, despite her own health problems she brings fun and laughter to all our classes!"

"Being able to do exercise and feel like I have whilst safely navigating my medical issues has been liberating. Leanne is such a gentle inclusive person, it just feel like time with friends"

"I am a Mobilates member and in the last 6 months I have exercised 3 times a week, something that with my celebral palsy I had never managed before! I become a member when my boyfriend ended our relationship and the community side of Mobilates has done wonders for my mood and mental health! Lianne, Kerry, Callie are amazing human beings with a golden heart!"

"The mobilates classes make exercise open to people like me with EDS and other lifelong debilitating diseases. They help us develop and maintain muscle strength allowing us to live independently for longer, leading more fulfilled lives."

"Mobilates is the most inclusive, positive and welcoming organisation I have ever encountered. Leanne gets to know everyone and their individual needs, and helps them to get stronger. She is amazing!

Amazing group continuing to support and change people's lives through keeping them motivated to move and exercise at their own pace 💪 ❤️"

"Leanne is an absolute inspirational person. She has been helping people (including myself) with associated nobility issues. A specialised class that understands how you are feeling, the symptoms, the aches and pains, the damage of over stretching and the related causes. Giving us the ability to exercise with enjoyment by accommodating our needs. All lead by a professional, caring amazing person as Leanne is. She needs to be recognised and rewarded."

"Mobilates has been life changing for so many of the members, often written off by medical professionals in terms of how they live with pain, fatigue, and poor mental health. Mobilates is joyous and lets us all find positivity in every day. We are a diverse group with a vast range of health conditions but Leanne has brought us all together and inspires us all each and every day"

"I have witnessed the huge impact and success of the 'Mobilates' class, in helping my mother (who has multiple scelorisis, MS) in many ways. Not only does it provide a platform for her to achieve her exercise goals in a safe and friendly way, it does so much more. The community that Leanne, the founder, has created provides support and comfort to many who are suffering from conditions that most cannot even start to empathise with due to the complex nature. To say that the mobilates class has changed my mother's outlook on life would be an understatement. Since engaging with the group she is happier, healthier and pushing herself more than ever. I cannot think of a more deserving winner of this award. Leanne is a true entrepreneur who has addressed a serious gap in the market and not only filled that gap but with it brought about social mobility and change for many involved!"

"Leanne really cares about opening up opportunities to become fitter and more mobile for those suffering from chronic conditions - despite her own health issues to deal with. She is a role model and an inspiration!

A fab company - really helped me with my mobility and confidence!"

"I did a short stint with mobilates and found it refreshingly accommodating, friendly and accessible. I've been to many yoga and other types of classes which were often made inaccessible, not because I couldn't participate or do the exercises, but because the instructors often either didn't have the right attitude and will to make it available for 'everyone' or maybe didn't have the resources to assist those with additional needs as well as instructing the class. The retreat I went to was also really friendly and I met friendly, down-to-earth people."

"Mobilates (and Leanne) changed my life immeasureably for the better in 2020, when I was able to access Pilates that would accommodate my severe osteoarthritis and other chronic health conditions. My health has improved immeasurably: from being housebound and on crutches for 6 years, I can now walk up to 12,000 steps a day, my core strength has helped me recover from bilateral breast surgery (mastectomy, no reconstruction - and on other side, risk reducing breast reduction) - and the Mobilates community are such a fantastic boon to my mental health, too. Leanne is fantastic: a wonderful resourceful teacher who inspires us all - as are all the other Mobilates teachers - offering us access to a huge range of classes and community activities that enable us to support each other while managing our own health needs."

"Leanne and mobilates have allowed me to connect with other people with similar health issues, and to exercise in safety. From safe exercise aimed at and adapted for our special needs, to social meetings online and in person to help with our mental health and wellbeing."

"Mobilates has helped me enormously over the past year. I am 80 and have several chronic health problems for most of which the main therapy is exercise. I was struggling to exercise on my own and because of mobility and fatigue issues couldn’t find suitable classes locally. Once I had discovered Mobilates, the Zoom classes were the answer for me. The exercise sessions are varied and there is something for all abilities. The teachers understand our issues in a way that other people don’t and give alternative movements as necessary.. The social sessions , like Togetherness, give us a lift with meditation , craft sessions, and, when necessary, an opportunity to vent in a safe and compassionate environment. Leanne has built a company that provides an all round long term support system that is badly needed for those with chronic conditions. The exercise classes are excellent, but there is also a community spirit, like a second family, providing information, encouragement and a listening ear when necessary.. It helps to combat the feelings if isolation and depression often associated with long term conditions and mobility problems. Somehow the exercise classes are enjoyable with plenty of laughter, and I leave each session, whether physical or social, feeling that I’ve had fun."

"I joined Mobilates a year ago. It is a wonderful community and has enhanced my life. Living with a chronic health condition can be very isolating. The membership model, caring teachers and retreats all contribute to making Mobilates a unique and successful organisation. I have osteoarthritis which means my mobility is limited. My world has become very small. Mobilates has improved my mobility and given me hope, strength and new connections."

"Mobilates is such an amazing platform which supports people with many different conditions and disabilities. It supports physical and emotional health with more than movement sessions being offered, additionally well-being, social and hobbies groups also connect people. More recently retreats run have allowed people to attend such who would be unable to attend general ones. The accessibility and embracing acceptance of Leanne and the Mobilates team is touching and inspiring. I feel privileged to have found them and have found much help as someone who has some similar conditions to Leanne"
