Meet Meg

Yoga Instructor for online classes

Meg.jpeg

I’m Meg, my pronouns are she and her, and I’m yoga teacher, specialising in sharing yoga in the most inclusive and accessible way I can.

As someone in a plus size body; I have always been passionate about sharing practices that include all body types.  Yoga is not just for naturally slim or flexible bodies - it’s a holistic practice that can support our mind, body and soul, and it can meet you and your body exactly where you are today - in a chair, on a mat, in bed!

I also live with depression and PMDD (premenstrual dysphoric disorder) and understand first hand how mental illness can make it even more challenging to move our bodies.

I’m a great believer in “a little goes a long way” and that’s something I try my best to remind myself to manage the harder days, and something I share wholeheartedly with class participants. That being said, my experience of depression has taught me that, whilst movement is helpful, some days it’s not possible and on those days my efforts are often found being extra compassionate to myself.

In the last year I have also provided bespoke yoga sessions for people on probation, for front line workers, and with survivors of rape and sexual assault.

In my spare time I absolutely love reading and sea swimming, so I’ll often be tucked up in the chair with a book or warming up at the beach with a hot chocolate, post swim.
